i actually like making my sushi at home. i'm not a huge fan of having to dress up and spending beaucoup bucks just to eat something i can make at home. the neat thing about sushifishmarket.com is that they can cut everything for you and they're cheap compared to what you would typically spend elsewhere. just my 2 cents.

Mizu Prime Steak and Sushi is a restaurant located in the hills of West Austin. Mizu features prime steaks with a full sushi bar and innovative new American cuisine. The food and wine selection are phenomenal and the beautiful patio is accompanied with miles of breath-taking views of the Hill Country. Mizo also contains a modern sophisticated bar for after dinner hours, The Branch. The Branch offers specialty cocktails made fresh from ingredients grown on the property. (I recommend the Lychee Mint Martini)

Although Round Rock doesn't have alot of sushi resturants there are a couple of pretty solid contenders in the Austin sushi scene. In fact, my second favorite (next to musashino) is oragami in RR.
Origami is a more traditional style sushi resturant but always has a good variety to choose from. The fish is never a let down and consistantly fresh. I also like the fact that they offer real, grated wasabi instead of that harsh green stuff that is squirted out of a tube. Service is always friendly and prompt and every piece from toro to aji is always delicious.

I personally work that right now. Though I might be quiting soon, I really hope they stay in business. They stressed over some financial difficulties to open Yama, therefore they cannot afford much for their advertisement, and they are not getting enough customers as they are supposed to get!
They have incredibly rate of repeating customers, and they constantly receive compliments about their food and service, so it's definitely worth for you to come in here and try!

Has anyone been to this hidden gem? The sushi is fantastic and the people are very nice. It's located in the shopping center at Slaughter and Manchaca, near Dominoe's pizza (there used to be an Albertson's there as well).

I need recommendations for a sushi bar fairly close to 6th Street. This is for a Thursday night 5/10/07 and I would like to make reservations for about 10 people. Somewhere with great food and nice, fun decor. Also, good cooked items a must for those in party that don't eat sushi. Thanks!
