You know the drill: no profanity, personal attacks, racism, sexism, or stuff like that is allowed here.

I have eaten at this place several times in the past and I always questioned whether or not the food was fresh. Sometimes I order Ton Katsu or Tempura. I ordered sushi the last time and was not impressed, but the worst experience was tonight. I ordered beef teriyaki and my friend ordered chicken teriyaki. This was the most disgusting thing that has ever touched my lips. The meat wasn't marinated and it was tough. I asked the owner how many people had tried to chew on it before it was served to me because neither of us ate our food and they had the audacity to charge us.

First of all I love this website that I encountered through Austin Tidbits. I love to try sushi restaurants and have a few favorites, but I came across a new restaurant in Georgetown while visiting some friends. We had dinner at this loungy venue and the sushi was unbelievable!! The music was great and the staff was nice. I will definatley eat at Hayashi's again when I'm in Georgetown. It's kind of hidden in the Wolf Town Ranch Center so don't miss it.

Has anyone ever been there? We have tried very hard to like the place as it is literally right down the street from our house, but we usually end up driving somewhere miles away for good sushi. I don't know what it is with this place... it's not terrible by any means, but it's just not that great either. It's also kind of expensive for what you get. Maybe I'll give it another try one of these days.

I recently had lunch at Sushi Sake with three co-workers. I ordered the sushi special of the day and eagerly waited for its arrival. Everyone else received their food promptly, but I was informed that mine would quickly follow. One co-worker mistakenly received steamed rice instead of the fried rice that he ordered. This was quickly corrected. Meanwhile, I continue to wait for my food. Eventually everyone else at the table is finishing their large portions and it is almost time to return to work. At this point I am looking for the “server” so that I can cancel my order. I am ignored.
It is at this moment that we notice that there is a similar problem at the table next to ours. A lady is trying to cancel her hand roll order because her party had already finished eating lunch. Instead of canceling the order, a gentleman in a tie came to the table. He had a hand roll and told the woman that because it is already made she must eat it. We could not believe what we were hearing!

This is the most unreal offensive dining experience I've ever had.
3 friends and myself went for Sushi last night to Musachino, unfortunately they were closed but Chinatown, upstairs was open. (I donââ¬â¢t know why). Anyway, it wasnââ¬â¢t busy, we were seated right away. However it took 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. It took another 15 minutes to bring our drinks and then take our orders. A couple sat down next to us and THEY didnââ¬â¢t get greeted / served for at least 15 minutes. OK, so maybe they were understaffed, I can deal with that because it was a Monday and everyone has bad nights.

We went to Mizu tonite. They just opened and are working out some kinks. The food was great, we ordered mostly rolls. They have some rolls that I have not seen before and I have been everywhere in Austin. The service was sub par. It took an hour and a half to finish. It is a small space but has a great atmosphere. Finally, we get a quality sushi spot in Lakeway or by Lake Travis.

let me mention that Uchi is easily my favorite sushi restaurant in Austin. HOWEVER, what is up with the Fuji apple slices in the Maguro with Goat cheese? Now, they are bringing it out with 4 huge slices which I have to try to cut with my chopsticks. Will someone please mention to the guys in the kitchen that regular customers, like me, notice things like this and are annoyed by them.
