Went to Odaku with my family. The sushi was not good at all. I had spicy tuna and spicy salmon. The miso soup was horrible. My husband and daughter enjoyed their chicken terriyaki, and beef terriyaki. It was tasty, but I went for the sushi and was so disappointed.

Hi,
I live in South Austin & googled 'sushi in Austin' last night. I found and & used your site & review to pick a sushi bar THEN I used that sweet little locator to get directions. Well done very well done!
How did you get that locator on your site? That's so helpful!
ALSO I feel compelled to say that the entire sushi experience we had at UMI was fantastic, and while the sushi was TOP NOTCH (The Austin Roll ws the best sushi that's ever met my mouth), the SERVICE was the highlight.
I will checkout other sushi bars austinsushi.com recommends but will also highly recommend UMI.

[color=black]I don't know if it's this way on purpose or not, but the forum should require registration before posting so there aren't so many of the "guest" postings. I run a phpbb myself and those posts drive me nuts, lol. You can set the forums to only allow registered users to post if you'd like. I can tell you how to do it in the Administration Panel if you're not sure. Then again, guest posts may be allowed on purpose and if this is the case, then disregard this post.
I also agree that a theme with darker text would be much easier to read. Many to choose from here: http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo.php (select the various styles from the dropdown menu at the top to see how they look).

A price guide would be very helpful.

I have been eating sushi around town for several years, but lately I just keep going back to " Mikado" ! I think they are the best japanese restaurant over all . I would call it a "Complete package"!!!!! Highly recommend it.

[quote]The Top Five:
1. Musashino
2. Umi
3. Origami
4. Sushi Saké
5. Mikado

This is a joke, right? To have Sushi Sake anywhere in the top 50, much less the top 5, is an atrocity. I hope they pay a hefty sum to be there.

One of the major problems for Sushi Eaters without a significant other is the lack of conversation when enjoying a tasty plate of sashimi. I would love to see AustinSushi.com provide a place for those of us that are single sushi diners to be able to meet other single sushi diners in the area to join for casual conversation over Unagi.
I am willing to monitor that portion of the board if necessary!
Mark
